Our Story
New Wine Nation was born out of a personal encounter with police brutality experienced by our founder, Ehizogie Olatunji Odigie, on February 13th, 2020, in Manchester, England. This incident, along with the global unrest sparked by movements like Nigeria’s EndSARS and the outcry following George Floyd’s death, underscored the urgent need for societal change and inspired the creation of New Wine Nation.
As a virtual learning hub, New Wine Nation is committed to addressing deep-rooted social issues and empowering communities. Our mission is to turn knowledge into action and wealth, focusing on:

While sparked by a personal experience, the driving force behind New Wine Nation is a collective mission to create lasting societal impact, giving power back to the people and making communities stronger and safer for all.

Our core mission is to foster Education to End Segregation, creating unity and driving societal transformation. Through our extensive charity networks, we provide essential tools, resources, and support to uplift underrepresented and underserved ethnic communities.
Our founder’s vision continues to grow, uniting voices and forging alliances that transform ideas, stories, and initiatives into measurable progress in education, business, and politics.
Our Founder
Ehizogie Odigie, known as Ehiz, is the visionary behind New Wine Nation. A writer, philanthropist, and business leader, Ehiz is committed to uplifting communities and changing lives. His journey has been defined by resilience and strength, particularly in his efforts to advocate for Black, Asian and other underrepresented ethnic groups, proving that trials can be turned into triumphs.
Ehiz’s motivation to create New Wine Nation comes from personal experience. Once a victim of police brutality, he transformed his pain into purpose, emerging as a fearless voice and community leader. His life’s mission is to rewrite negative narratives and offer ‘second chances’ to marginalised groups, inspired by the disciplined upbringing from his mother, Taiwo Oluleye, and the influence of his grandfather, Major General James Oluleye.
Over the years, Ehiz has gained extensive experience in uniting communities and mobilising resources to fight poverty and create pathways for generational wealth. His leadership and behind-the-scenes representation efforts have impacted political spaces in Africa, Asia and Europe, helping to shape policies and support leaders committed to good governance.
Through New Wine Nation, Ehiz channels his passion for education and development, particularly in Africa. The organisation’s Leadership Development and Mentorship Network provides scholarships and training opportunities for students, helping to build the next generation of leaders.
Despite the obstacles he has faced, Ehiz’s story is one of healing, transformation, and empowerment. His unwavering belief in using truth to challenge fear and trauma has helped rewire his mindset, creating a ripple effect of positive change in the communities he serves.
